This is just really important to me though.īut yeah, any help would be awesome everyone.Click to expand.The CD cleaners are not a good idea in general as a concept, they spins and have some fibers that are supposed to clean/polish the lens surface, but thats not the best way to do itĭissassembling the BD drive is tricky (because is like a puzzle with small pieces), but is not specially dangerous, you need to be specially carefull when disconnecting the cables though ![]() Then they can move it to their hearts content. But I do need help with this and I doubt the PS2 boards see much action these days so until the questions I asked are answered, I would like it if they could hold off from moving it until someone post a good way to clean it without opening it up. I am sorry to the mods if they don't like me asking here. I do plan on buying a new one, but I would like to keep this one alive for as long as possible. If so, are there any chemicals I should or shouldn't use and is it easy to clean a slim version? Would a can of air work in getting the dust out and then getting microfiber cloth when it comes to cleaning the lens. I think the lens is dirty and the ps2 is dusty. I am a very nervous person when it comes around fixing electronic things due to how poor I was as a child and how my parents instilled the "take good care of your things." way of thinking.īasically, my ps2 is not wanting to read disks, it can still read them but it takes time.
